Contacts
Your customer address book with manual creation, bulk import, groups, tags, blocklist, and consent tracking — all WhatsApp-policy compliant.
Key features
Create contacts manually: name, phone number, email, and custom fields
Bulk import from CSV, Excel (.xlsx), Google Contacts, or Apple vCard
Opt-in consent confirmation during import — required by WhatsApp policy
Organise into Groups for easy campaign targeting
Add colour-coded Tags for segmentation and automation conditions
Blocklist contacts to prevent all outbound messaging — useful for opt-outs or spam
Search and filter contacts by name, phone, group, tag, or blocked status
View conversation history per contact directly from the detail panel
Edit or delete individual contacts
How to use
1Click New Contact to add a single person manually
2Or click Import to upload a CSV, Excel, Google, or vCard file
3During import, map your file columns to contact fields (name, phone, email)
4Confirm opt-in consent — this is mandatory for WhatsApp compliance
5After import, assign contacts to Groups or add Tags for organisation
6To block a contact, open their detail page and click Block
TipWhatsApp requires explicit opt-in consent for business messaging. Always confirm consent during import or collect it via Opt-in Links from Settings.
Import Contacts — Full Guide
A step-by-step walkthrough of every import method: CSV, Excel, Google Contacts, and Apple vCard. Includes file format requirements, column mapping, and troubleshooting.
Key features
CSV import — comma-separated values with header row; supports UTF-8 and ASCII encodings
Excel import — .xlsx files with automatic sheet detection
Google Contacts import — export from Google Contacts as CSV or vCard and upload
Apple Contacts import — export from iCloud or macOS Contacts as vCard (.vcf)
Automatic column mapping with preview before final import
Duplicate detection: existing contacts are updated, not duplicated
Opt-in consent confirmation step — choose 'All consented' or mark per row
Import summary: shows total imported, skipped (duplicates), and failed rows
Undo option — bulk-delete all contacts from the last import if something went wrong
How to use
1Prepare your file: first row must be headers (Name, Phone, Email, etc.)
2Navigate to Contacts and click Import
3Select the file type: CSV, Excel, Google, or vCard
4Upload your file — a preview shows the first 5 rows with detected column mapping
5Adjust column mapping if needed (drag to reassign fields)
6Confirm opt-in consent status for the imported contacts
7Click Import — processing runs in the background for large files
8Review the import summary and click Done or Undo if needed
TipFor CSV files, ensure the phone number column includes country codes (e.g., +1XXXXXXXXXX). Google Contacts export: use the 'Outlook CSV' format for best compatibility.
Campaigns — Bulk Messaging
Send bulk WhatsApp template messages to many contacts at once. Build from an approved template, add recipients, schedule delivery, and track every send.
Key features
Template-based sending — choose any approved message template
Variable substitution — template variables ({{1}}, {{2}}) are replaced with contact-specific values
Multiple recipient sources: individual contacts, Groups, or direct phone number upload
Schedule for future delivery — pick date and time in your timezone
Cost estimate before launching — shows total credits required
Per-recipient status tracking: queued → sent → delivered → read → failed
Pause and resume campaigns while in progress
Retry failed sends individually or in bulk
Campaign history with performance summary (sent, delivered, read rate, failed)
Excel export of campaign results for offline analysis
How to use
1Go to Campaigns and click New Campaign
2Give your campaign a name (internal, not visible to recipients)
3Select an approved Template from the dropdown — variables are shown for mapping
4Add recipients: pick contacts, select a Group, or upload phone numbers
5Map template variables: if your template has {{1}}, choose which contact field fills it
6Review the cost estimate — credits shown are reserved upon launch
7Choose Send Now or Schedule for a later date/time
8Click Launch — the campaign begins processing
9Monitor progress in the campaign detail view: green = delivered, red = failed, grey = pending
TipOnly APPROVED templates can be used in campaigns. Templates in PENDING or REJECTED status are not available. Campaigns can target up to 100,000 recipients per run.
Message Templates
Create, submit, and manage the pre-approved message templates WhatsApp requires for business-initiated conversations and bulk messaging.
Key features
Create templates in three categories: MARKETING, UTILITY, and AUTHENTICATION
AI-powered content generation — describe what you need and Google Gemini writes the template
Support for variables: {{1}}, {{2}}, etc. for personalised content
Optional header: text or media (image, video, document)
Optional footer text
Interactive buttons: call-to-action (phone number or URL), quick reply buttons
Multi-language support — create translations for the same template
Submit to Meta for approval and track status in real time
Statuses: DRAFT → PENDING → APPROVED / REJECTED
Edit rejected templates and resubmit
Delete or archive templates you no longer need
How to use
1Navigate to Templates and click New Template
2Enter a name (lowercase, underscores allowed, e.g., order_confirmation)
3Select category: MARKETING (promotions), UTILITY (transactional), or AUTHENTICATION (OTPs)
4Choose language and write the body text with {{1}} for variables
5Optionally add a header (text or media), footer text, and buttons
6To use AI generation: click Generate with AI, describe your template, and review the result
7Click Submit — the template is sent to Meta for review
8Wait for approval (typically 5–30 minutes, sometimes longer)
9Once APPROVED, the template is available in Conversations and Campaigns
TipTemplate naming: use lowercase, no spaces or special characters beyond underscores. A rejected template shows the rejection reason from Meta — fix and resubmit.
